Welcome to the beautiful island of South Padre Island in Texas
South Padre Island is a beautiful island along the gulf of Texas. It isn't very big with a population around 3,000. Although it is small, it has a lot of fun things to do.
South Padre Island has a turtle rescue center. Here you can see eggs and the turtles they have rescued along the beach. They will even allow you to feed some of the turtles during a tour of the turtles.
In South Padre Island there are some awesome stores. Some of their stores have stations where you can make your own shirts. They have very cute bathing suits and flip flops. I would have to say their jewelry was my favorite. The stores had amazing jewelry made from shells, rope, and many other cool things found along the beach. Most people sold stuff they made themselves.
Restaurants in South Padre were amazing. They served some of the best seafood I have ever tasted. There were so many seaside restaurants and buffets with such amazing food. I was never hungry for a minute when we were there.
The best part of South Padre was the beautiful beach. I loved sitting out on the sand to watch the sun sink down below the beautiful waves. The way the fading sun shimmered off the water was absolutely breath taking. In the mornings you could look out and see dolphins playing. The sun rise was so mesmerizing. I wish I could see a view like that every morning. The beaches were never too crowded and the water was so clear and beautiful.
South Padre Island is a beautiful place. If you are looking for the perfect vacation, this is the place to be.
